Book Review by Captain Harryette O’Brien

“Life is an incredible journey with many ups and downs. We soar, struggle, stumble, and often stand at the edge of cliffs, afraid to step into the unknown and unsure of where we will land. But instead of running away, we are called by God to stand firm, muster up what faith we can, and take a step. Because we were made to move mountains.”
In her book, Kristen Welch encourages the reader to be brave and tackle those mountains in our lives. She talks about the nonprofit company “Mercy House Global” that her family started and what that journey has meant in all their lives. She challenges the readers to look at mountains through various lenses and perspectives.
I underlined countless quotes and sentences on every other page. I cried and laughed, and then cried some more. I felt God specifically speak to me in several parts. Made to Move Mountains has instantly become one of my “must own” books that I recommend to others. I believe everyone should not only read this but have a place for it on their bookshelf.
