In The Salvation Army\, we have women preaching every Sunday (!) – this is our mandate and prophetic voice within the wider church – and having this special emphasis nationally will speak loudly across our communities. DESCRIPTION:Every year the women of The Salvation Army USA Western Territory are always so generous in raising money for our Territorial Project.  This year we are raising money for: \nAlaska Division \n\nHaines Corps – Support their Youth Program with much-needed games & supplies that helps them continue to build relationships within their community and reach children with the gospel of Jesus Christ.\nGateway/Ketchikan Corps – Enhance the “Movement & More Class” through music which helps children grow and develop\, as well as provide outings to the nearby Discovery Center as a year-round option for parents that can bring them out of cold weather isolation into a community of Christ-focused believers.\nWrangell Corps – Grow the Mommy-And-Me group with supplies for their Toddler Art Program\, which helps to grow relationships with mothers and children. This funding will also support a new VBS Program for the summer months.\n\nFederated States of Micronesia \n\nThe Chuuk community is in need of butane stoves for cooking classes\, which will build community and help support the sharing of the gospel with women who attend these classes.\n\nRepublic of the Marshall Islands \n\nFunding for Youth Rallies which provide many more opportunities for Marshallese teenagers who need fellowship with their peers\, Bible teaching\, discipleship\, and the encouragement of Christian leaders.\nHome League members can purchase materials needed to sew dresses\, make baskets and purses\, as well as cultural head ornaments and necklaces to sell abroad. DESCRIPTION:On behalf of the Territorial Secretary for Spiritual Life\, Commissioner Colleen Riley\, here are the Prayer Focus requests for December 2023. \nThis initiative of turning our thoughts and prayers towards the same part of the world in the same week is a beautiful way to unite us as a global Army family and I thank you for the commitment that you each give to this. \nThis December we will be praying for the following territories.  Each of these have shared with us subjects to include in our prayers. (Click on countries to find specific requests) \n\n\n\n27 November – 03 December 2023\nUSA Central Territory\n\n\n04 – 10 December 2023\nNorway\, Iceland\, and the Faeroes Territory\n\n\n11 – 17 December 2023\nMiddle East Region\n\n\n18 – 24 December 2023\nThe Philippines Territory\n\n\n25 – 31 December 2023\nThere is no focus territory or region this week.  We encourage prayer for the international Salvation Army.
